Is there any hope?

Flexibility issues, losing posture, poor pivot, non-dynamic, flipping it, etc, etc, etc...

No fun hitting 135 yard 7 irons. Please help.

Always hope, it's not that bad. People have come back from a lot worse.

looks good. Maybe more pivot move on the down swing?

Something is off in my backswing, the club comes inside then lifts to the top along with upper body losing posture. I think it has something to do with how I rotate or don't rotate my left arm on the way back and not being on plane, or maybe it's axis tilt and a pivot problem. Always felt weird and powerless.

So that and about 10 other things are going wrong.

I'm so inconsistent it's really hard to say. I rarely hit a true fade or slice anymore except sometimes with the driver if I really just leave the face open (very rare). I'm more likely to hit it fairly straight or right to left but it NEVER will start right of my line and draw back, always straight then left or left then left.

But I'm more concerned that i'm not compressing the ball at all and distance is pathetic. If I hit what feels like a solid 7 iron, it might fly 135. So I guess right now I'm less concerned about direction and more concerned about lack of power.

Sorry if this doesn't help.

I see minimal dynamic wrist cock. Query: grip tension too high, wrist not "oily" enough.

Good eye! That was one thing I noticed as well that I didn't mention. What puzzles me is I'm not sure if it's grip or tension related or yet another flexibility issue.

At the top during transition, I should be adding wrist cock but it looks like I do the opposite and start casting. My arms and wrists look like 2x4's but I've video'd swings where I purposely stay as relaxed and loose as possible and I swear it looks the same.

Post a swing at regular speed.

Your "positions" look fine and competent.

Based on your positions, I'd say you may not be doing enough work in your backswing. You have to create reciprocating motion.

Just curious, how far do you believe your 7 iron should go?

I'll post a regular speed swing in a bit, but to me it looks like it's slow motion too, so I think you're right in that i'm posing some positions but in the end it's powerless.

Question, how often do you find your students aren't physically able to create a dynamic pivot and how do you help them progress? I've seriously considered a visit with Brian or another competent instructor but is it worth the time and $ to find out you "can't" create the dynamics? Should the physical limitations be addressed first.

You have very little lower body action it looks like its all arms driven. At impact your hips are hardly rotated, I would suggested working on a more dynamic pivot. Your hips need to be the one starting the swing, a slight bump forward than rotate your hips and let the club come along behind that.

What makes you think you don't have the flexibility or the physical capacity to create a more dynamic pivot?

Matt F is correct, your swing is all arms thats why you lack power. You may never attain the pivot action of Hunter Mahan but you can certainly do more than you are currently doing with some good tuition.

Just curious but is your swing TGM influenced?

I really appreciate the responses and input, so thanks to anyone who's taken the time to watch and respond!

I guess I wonder about flexibility because i've always had what I consider to be flexibility issues, example...I have never been able to do basic stretches like toe touches, etc (and when I say never, I mean not even when I was 8 yrs old)...and when i've tried basic "screening" tests like those on mytpi.com....I basically fail all of them. But besides all that, what i notice in the swing video and in my practice swings is that I'm not able to pivot back without losing my posture...and my hips feel restricted, then start to slide back away from the target. Add to that what looks like no wrist cock at the top and at start down and I think it = no power.

So I agree, it's all arms....I'm just looking for what I need to do to make a more dynamic pivot. My swing is influenced by TGM in that I've spent a couple of years lurking on this site and i've purchased COFF and NSA. So I've definitely tried to work on the basics that Brian teaches.

I hope you're right and I'm capable of more, I'm looking for the "good tuition" you mentioned.
