New
Greetings ...
Here's the complete listing of PGA Tour Exemption Categories
Jason Gore is exempt for the rest of 2005 under Category 26, and will be exempt for 2006 under Category 23, which also accepts any Nationwide Tour 3-time winners from the previous year.
Gore's first event should be the Reno-Tahoe Open (opposite WGC-NEC Invitational). He is also likely to be in the field at the Hartford Open (aka Buick Championship) the following week. The fall PGA Tour schedule is usually easier for players in the lower exempt categories to play, since certain top players skip many events.
I believe that Jason is also eligible to accept an unlimited number of sponsor invitations, both this year and next year. I'm sure he'll get quite a few.
Congrats Jason. Welcome to the Big Leagues.
