Couldn't believe it...hope it sells tickets. No chance he will make the cut. I walked the course last year, its really really tough.

He said on the radio this morning that his goal is to make the cut... A couple things working for him is his athleticism, and his work ethic... I wouldnt bet on him though

He was on the TGC Trump show the other night playing Lawrence Taylor.
He wore jersey #80 in his SF days and that is what I predict he will shoot at the NW event.

Has he played any competitive golf before? I realize that he's a good golfer and a formerly phenomenal football player, but golf is different than football. If he breaks 90 for either round I'll be surprised and impressed. After all, he did lose to LT on Trump's Wonderful World of Self-Worship.

Curious that he can't break 74 on his home course, nor can he shoot above 74....

Looks like a thousand other solid, local amateur players....no way he should be playing a Nationwide event.

Bad scores for a Nationwide player, but better than most football players. Other than a few kickers and Elway, seems like football players have a real hard time with golf.

Those are darn fine scores on that course under that pressure. WAY to go Jerry.

It just shows the cleavage (love that word) between Tour pros and Ams. A 0.0 (based on today's USGA ratings) has no business playing in a professional event.

Reminds me of something they said on the telecast on Thursday: "The difference between a tour pro and a +1 is the same as the difference between a +1 and a 20"

A 76 by a non-tour player playing in Nationwide or PGA conditions is awesome. Stonebrae is close to my daughter's house and I know first hand it isn't an easy course.

He needs to get behind it more on the backswing turning it onto the lane and square that clubface, as he moves forward and over to the left to save it. Seems like a nice guy, but like Ivan Lendl, Nigel Mansell etc. and all these celebrity 0 handicappers they need to get better instruction; rather than there pop instructors they see now for publicity.

Give anyone A+ for trying but really no chance Rice, Sabo, Schmidt, Rhoden, now Glavine and Smoltz, Jordan in triple 9 baseball these guys play at private clubs compete against club champions dont care if they practice 10 hrs a day and hit a million balls it comes down to ballstriking in the trenches against guys who dont care how many millions you've made or what celebrity you are guys who hit it straight off the fairway and hit greens dont care how good your shortgame is you cant make a up and down from the trees. And remember this is nationwide not the big boys just like arena or canadien football Jerry- no chance its the same reason most of our club Pro's who qualify for a Tour event in there home state miss the cut. Ballstriking is the answer. Dont know how many time i've played with a private club champion + 1 to +3 and watch them shoot 80 in a major amatuer event.
