Hope this is okay. If not let me know and I'll take it down. Not looking for swing help just thought this was some fun video.
Took him to golf practice with me the other day and let him hit some balls on the range. He plays golf with me once in a while but hasn't really caught the bug yet. This day may have done it for him. He loves baseball, and any other sport that has a ball and running or jumping involved, and he's been able to switch hit since his second year of t-ball. Hit two inside the park home runs last year in the local machine pitch league, one from both sides of the plate. He obviously has great eye hand coordination for a kid his age. He's also the biggest kid in his class.
Knowing all this he still impressed the heck out of me. He hit balls for about 30 minutes. Didn't want to hit anything but the driver but that was okay with me. I was just having fun watching him have fun. The kids on the high school team couldn't believe how far he was hitting it. He was hitting it fairly straight too, a little push fade if anything. Most of his shots were carrying about 110 yards or so. He "uncorked" a couple that flew close to 150.
The only instruction I've ever given him is help with his grip and I tell him to hit it as hard as he wants.
This was an absolute blast to watch.
