Keeping head back

How can I keep my head back. Watched some driver swings of mine last night and I think I have too much lateral movement. Not sure what is causing what, but my right foot is coming off the ground too soon as well. If I keep my foot on the ground longer will that help me stay back more? I still had good contact but I want MORE. Thanks

PS Not able to post swing, just have PC at work. Thanks

Hula hoop help? Is that where your hips go forward and not your upper body.

I had the same problem (fixed by Brian). What worked for me is the idea that the forward rotation begins while the back is still facing the target. This maintains your axis tilt.

"Not sure what is causing what"?

It's your intent/instinct of "going after the ball".

A pure rotation of the pivot and the balance between the COG of the body and inertia of the rotating parts (including the arms and club) "keep your head back".

Rotate, don't hack.

Learn to half wedge shots that go relatively straight at your target WIHTOUT your right foot moving off the ground. Once you can do that eventually move to longer clubs.

Once you can do it consistently keep that same "feel" when you make a full swing but allow the right foot to come up.

This should help
