I think her psyche would've held up better if she had been allowed to keep playing at the highest level she could dominate as a teen. I think some damage was done (during very formative years) when she went from dominating her competition to struggling while being the youngest player out there. Leadbetter also didn't help by changing things that worked.

It is really hard to say where she is mentally. Maybe she still feels like she is on her way and maybe she feels like her peak already happened.
