As much as I do not want to believe it all these little injuries he has had make me think of steroids. That pine straw can get slippery though.

When Tiger needed therapy for his knee he went to a doctor in Canada linked to several athletes that have been caught using steroids.

On the other hand, he could have gone to Stanford where they have some of the best knee and shoulder surgeons as well as rehab in the world. Too bad he doesn't know anyone at Stanford.

Excerpt from the 2051 Sports Almanac:

Eldrick "Tiger" Woods

Undeniably Woods is one of golf's greatest talents. Mr. Woods compiled an amateur record that has yet to be rivaled, and after turning professional in 1996, he began compiling an equally impressive professional record. Over the course of a brilliant career he amassed 89 PGA Tour victories including 16 major championships (ranking him 3rd all time).

In addition to a remarkable record, Mr. Woods' career is also remembered for what he did not accomplish. Most golf historians believed that Woods was a lock to surpass his childhood hero Jack Nicklaus' 18 major victories. Those same historians also point to his unprecedented swing make-overs as being the single reason for Woods falling short of his ultimate goal. Mr. Woods spent 6 years of his prime trying to learn and master 3 vastly different swing methodologies. During those 6 years, he did not win a single major championship. No golfer in history has ever been able to sacrifice 6 years of their prime and reach their ultimate potential for winning. It's a formula that had never been tried before, and one never attempted since.

After numerous bouts with leg injuries, Woods is also credited with proving what the late great boxing trainer, Mickey Goldmill, told his most famous fighter (Rocky Balboa) - "Women weaken legs!"

These days, Mr. Woods can often be found at the back of the Isleworth driving range hitting balls, perfecting his release, and mumbling... "I'm close."

Good one MGR!!!

Questions...what 2 other majors does Tiger win and who gets between him and Jack? Does the 89 include the Isleworth Member/Guest?

No, the club championship lol. Good post btw mgran. By the way my iPhone recognizes mgranato as a spelling lol, you must be famous (infamous)

Wasn't this latest swing change meant to prevent injuries?

Even though it is a "minor" injury,it is not a good sign. He's going to have a lot of doubt in his mind every time he swings.

I think it's unfair to suggest steroid use without any proof. Over the last 25 years or so I've hit the weights pretty hard myself, and I've had a few injuries too. I've also had some people say I've used steroids (behind my back, of course), but I never did. Not ever.

If Eldrick gets caught, then OK, he'll deserve everything he gets.

Just a refresher course...

Tiger had an experimental, unapproved Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy on his injured knee by a Canadian doctor (whose unlicensed to practice in the U.S.) whose being investigated for supplying more than 23 professional athletes with performance enhancing drugs including HGH. Most recently, Galea treated Tiger's friend Alex Rodgriguez after his knee injury. For those of you paying attention, Alex Rodgriguez has admitted to using steroids due to the tremendous amount of pressure to perform.

Just so we're clear, the World Anti-Doping Association or WADA bans PRP injections in muscles because "it's believed that it stimulates stem cells, which make the muscles get bigger" and that is perceived as enhancement rather than treatment.

What proof should we wait for? I'm sure the PGA Tour, a multi-billion dollar business, is chomping at the bit to test Tiger Woods and clean up their "squeeky clean" sport. Tiger was given a pass for many years because of the integrity of the sport, his marketability and his "squeeky clean" image. Now the Tour has hitched it's wagon to a media-savier version of Barry Bonds and they are screwed.

You're right. Let's wait for the jury to come back on this one...

I agree with waiting on the proof but my post was about the types of injuries he has had. I really hope he comes out clean. Golf does not need any more black eyes from Tiger's behavior. Almost everyone who has lifted for a number of years has had some injuries. Injuries happen. Again I really hope he is clean. It just smells bad to me.

I have Barry Bonds' rookie card - the difference may be even more pronounced than McGwire's.

Not sure what to think of Mr. Woods these days. I'd like to have a beer with mgranato in 2051 and reflect back...

After hearing his intimidation factor was gone, Tiger decided to ramp up his workout to twelve-a-days.
