Laying on the plane.

On your backswing if clubface is laying on the plane is that neutral or open? Would you need a lot of swivel to hit every shot solid or draw?


Now if the clubface were more turned off the plane like say Zach Johnson would that be easier to hit solid shots and more distance ?

I've been thinking about this for a couple of reasons:
Seems to me you would be getting more of the true loft of the club.If you scoop it you are still putting more clubface on the ball.

You cant say anything is easier ever. What may be easy for some is tragic for others. Why do you say scoop it?

And laying the face on the plane is 90 degrees open.
