Left Forearm and Clubface Rotation

I have been under the assumption that there is no forced clubface rotation by the left wrist/forearm. I have been relying on "holding my twist" all the way through impact, and I am back to hitting pushes again. Can you guys clear this up for me. I think this is this could be the missing link for my game. Thanks.

You first have to learn how to "consciously" rotate the left arm through the ball. You might even have to do what brian says "turn your knuckles toward the ground" at impact.

Once you learn how to do this consciously you will eventually learn how to do it automatically.

Jimmy is right....of course.

LOTS of things are SUPPOSED to happen automatically in the golf stroke.

Some have to be done "non-Automatically."

That's why it's in the book.

My confusion stems from the fact that I used to flip, and had VERY active hands through impact. I am worried that this will lead to me rolling my hands over through the ball.

There's a difference between flipping and over rolling through impact. For a flipper/slicer it isn't a bad thing for them to turn into an "over roller."

Yes, you can practice one arm swings to help with this. The key to really learning how to roll that entire left arm is hands foward at impact. The more foward you can get them and the more flat or even arched that left wrist is at impact, the easier it is to rotate that whole arm.

If you practice one arm swings with a flat left wrist at impact and an arched left wrist at impact you will notice that it's easier with it arched.
