I know exactly what you are asking. Firing the pivot hard, and first, is the only way I have been able to get away from an arms dominant swing. The feel is following the right hip with the arms. Then the left side is firming as the arms introduce the club to impact. For me the difference has been twice the distance with half the effort..... and more center contact. Before this focus I was all upper body. It felt powerful but it was not fast. Nor was it as repeatable. I think if you do the first thing you suggest you will get the benefits of the second for free.I'm working on using Left pivot /weight shift coming into impact
What would the correct sequence be ?
I thought there might be some merit in getting onto pivot first then Impact - reason was it would create a built in Lag .
Or is it better to arrive at impact while reaching Pivot ?
