Left to right winds for a righty

(Little backround info for the question) I haven't been on here much lately so forgive if some of my assumptions or terminology is wrong, but lately i have been trying pretty hard to get my back swing on the line instead of way across, which makes me have under plane issues because I yank it under plane from there and have to tumble late, flip, tilt hard etc. to hit a playable shot.

Well, basically I am pretty close to accomplishing this on the line backswing and when i do get it right, I shallow out just a tad after the transitions, and tumble gently from that position. I hit little baby cuts or straight balls when I do this. And With my driver, I hit about a 5 yard fade, and I used to hit draws with it.

So lately I've noticed if there is a left to right wind in excess of 10 or 15 miles an hour I have a really really hard time hitting a solid shot, with my driver especially. I was so used to hitting draws into these winds to control it, which I know can't really hit consistently with my driver.

Well, now I just hit big old slice, or I try really hard to swing more right and I hit ugly ugly hooks. I even chunked my driver once. I'm thinking it has a lot to with my pivot, maybe not getting enough turn in the backswing or opening too fast and dragging it left because I don't want to go right, but obviously I know that swinging left will make the ball curve left and the wind will make it worse. but if I try to hit draws they are either snappers or start left and go further left. or start right and go further right, and I mean REALLY FAR RIGHT.

May be a dumb mental thing, but I can't hit a good shot in this wind now. Any suggestions on things I could try to maybe alleviate this. maybe something I could work on to hit a draw or a straight shot without hitting these under-plane hooks and left to lefts and right to rights in this left to right wind?

I try to aim farther left but I usually end up still hitting a big fade. Maybe I'm not aiming left correctly. But what it comes down for me is, sometimes I need to be able to hit a straight ball or a draw and I can't really do it, with my swing groved out like it is. Or at least I don't know how to properly hit a draw, one that starts right of the target and curves toward the target.

Have you seen any of Brian's d-plane videos? Might be a good place to start if you want to hit draw without drastically changing your swing.

I watched the d-plane video that was on the home page last night. Basically, what I got from that is, hit down, path goes right. Aim slightly left if you want to hit straight balls.

I struggle with something similar. I live in the desert, where the wind blows extremely hard for months at a time it seems, like 20-30 mph sustained. I seem to have developed a form of the full-swing yips in this weather, and left to right wind is the worst. Its like my subconscious wont let me make my normal swing, and knows that I have to do something to compensate for the wind and get the piercing trajectory I need to have any chance to get the ball where I want it. This results in a lot of sloppy swings and bad shots. Aiming 45 degrees left and swinging normal is difficult to commit to, especially when there are houses all along both sides of the narrow holes.
