On the website, +PLUS magazine ...living mathematics , maintained by John Baez, a mathematical physicist at the university of California, I found an interesting phrase, which reminded me of the difficulty for some on agreeing what it meant to swing left past impact.

'Ask two people facing each other to point "up"--they'll both point in the same direction.

Now ask them where "right" is.

They'll point in opposite directions. "
:D

So the trick is to get political parties to all face the future and not so much each other.:)
Looks like a excellent observation but I am very sorry it won't work.
They will never be able to agree on the direction the future is pointing. :D

Mandrin,

Please don't make the uninformed think it is a "mutual fault" situation.

Because,

NOTHING could be further from the truth—and you know that, of course.

Brian,

I do agree with Socrates :

“The more you know the more you know you don't now. “ :D

Back to business.

I was trying to point to the difficult task to get to some mutual understanding when even such trivial matters as left and right are serious source of misunderstanding. But it guarantees lengthy, animated, and often circular discussions. The lack of ambiguity in a more scientific approach however leads to the opposite effect. People simply read and no discussion. :p
