Well, just as Eyeoffish was leaving the lesson tee today at The Club at Nevillewood I took his place for 2 wonderful and informative hours. Kevin was also there observing and adding some comments as well. It was the FASTEST 2 hours in my life. While the Trackman was recharging I started by hitting some 7 irons with Brian watching from various angles. He and Kevin noticed a few things right away---my ball position was way too far back and I really didn't have much hip movement on my forward swing and follow through. And from my teachings in the past, I was also a handle dragger. Brian also strengthened my right hand grip. We worked on proper impact position and what my hips/legs/feet should be doing during impact and follow through. I learned about the carry and had an interesting time doing a drill in a bunker to help with that. Hit a lot of balls, but each one was struck with a certain swing thought or purpose. I had told him my worst shot during a round was a 50-60 yard pitch shot --- so we worked on that and I learned about using the bounce to hit that shot---holed the last one. Then moved on to hitting some pitch shots with some roll on them to a closer target. At the end of my lesson I watched Brian work with Kevin for about 30 minutes. It was an amazing experience. Go see these guys, even if you have to travel to do so. They have the latest information and teach it in an understandable manner. I'm lucky - - Brian may be in New Orleans most of the time but Kevin is only a few minutes away !
