...like a plane landing

Does "like a plane landing" apply to all clubs...driver through pitching for the standard/typical shots?

i thought one of the best and easiest ways to control your dplane/ballflight was to have plenty of lean with the least amt of down, no?

It is and the driver is more like a plane taking off!

Does less down also mean less need to swing left?

That sounds right (although the aborted landing would have me reaching for the barf-bag). A three-wood would be right at touchdown.
