Young student of mine who is coming along nicely.

Man I was never that flexible.

Love it when I see young players drop the hammer and swing without fear. How old?

At the Moment of Truth, he whacks the ball ... notwithstanding his anatomical immature faults that he will out-grow, with Brian's assistance and encouragement. No homemade golfswing here for the future... ;)

Actually Steve, there is a LOT of homemade in that swing.

That's is the ONLY WAY you could ever, mathematically, be the best teacher of all time. You HAVE TO KNOW when to leave well enough alone. You have to know when to make a big change. You HAVE TO KNOW the science—at least somewhat, and you have to know how to get folks to do it.

I am by no means as good a teacher as I could possibly be, but I am getting there everyday.

I agree that is pretty "orthodox" looking except some early hand action to start the swing. The little guy looks like he really pounds it out there, I am afraid to ask but how far does he drive it?

Wow. If I even thought about making that move you could bring the stretcher! How does one stay that far behind it and open the hips like that? Oh to be 50 again...

Watching his body turn in the backswing is like watching an owl's head at dinner time. Incredible...
Out of interest, how far does he hit it?

That was the first thing I noticed. Have a look when the shaft gets parallel to ground during backswing...somewhere around 6-7 mark of backswing...he seems to to be waaaaay inside....wouldn't he be a mile underplane at the stage...yet presumably does not seem to pay much of a price for doing so?

For me, an inch underplane equals death...I am jealous.

Kinda reminds me of Dustin Johnson, but with a better finish style. He straightens his right leg to get all that turn it looks like?

I wouldn't change a thing until he is strong enough to make a change. Leave it alone unless something drastic happens......I would spend a TON of time on short game.
