Login timeout

Anyone know why I keep having to re-log in after a couple of minutes inactivity? Do I have to apply some sort of cookie type setting in my browser or something? Thanks.

Some browsers have a setting that says something like "clear all cookies after leaving a website."

If that option is checked, you will have to log back in every time. See what options are checked in the "internet options" of whatever browswer you use.

Jim, thanks for your response. There's nothing odd looking in my internet options. Also the timeout occurs while I'm in the site e.g it'll probably have timed out by the time I've written this.

Yep, by the time you read the today's responses to one thread, I have to login again inorder to go to the next thread.

This happened once before when the new look rolled out.

If you leave the option unchecked which is something like "remember password" or tell IE not to store the password, then you will get the problem described.

I can't login into this site under AOL anymore. I keep getting redirected to the sign in page. Anyone else have this problem?

What browser are you using?

IE 6

IE remembers my password. When it times out, if I go back to the Home page it auto logs me in and I can then continue in the forum.
