After me and Damon give our Baltimore "Manzella Academy" school this weekend—and I give two days of private lessons—I'll be heading to sunny Florida to do this years BRIAN MANZELLA ACADEMY GOLF TIPS for the Tourist Network.

They are about 90 second to 3 minute segments. I will try to get them posted on this site as well as YouTube. They currently play on the Tourist Network stations in Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton, Key West, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans, and Atlanta.

Always looking for some good ideas, and since you folks will get to see them, I thought I'd ask for some suggestions.

Remember, not too complicated....these are for short tips.

Thanks!

Point trail thumb at Target

Brian,
For a very short segment like you're talking about, I think the absolute best tip you could do would be the "trail thumb off the grip and pointed at the target" drill. This has helped my ball striking A LOT. Not only does it help someone feel the lag, it helps me get my swing on a good plane/path. It also makes me more aware of good tempo.

I use it on the course, and it's especially useful late in the round when you're tired and starting to lose your best form.

Focusing on "Tourist" and the occasional player, I would say adjustments other than swing fundamentals that can help keep the ball in play or get that first putt closer to the cup. Maybe "compensations" to get them through the round when they have a "case" of something like hitting it fat or thin. For the more experienced, problems presented when fairways are cut longer or tighter than one is accustomed to.

Pivot

Something about sand shots

Proper aiming, or checking yourself

Setting a good grip, or how to check it...and give a few reasons why it affects so many other things.

Also for the 'tourist' ...what to do when your game doesn't show up - how to do damage control and get around a course .

Similarly, punch shots. :)

How to adjust your game

Brian:
It's windy in that part of Florida, a lot of courses have sandy fairways and bermuda grass. Show how to simply adjust your game to play in the wind on the fairways and changes to make when playing on bermuda grass.
