Something no one else has mentioned....

Briman, everyone, EVERYONE needs to putt better. I like your putting tips and I don't remember ever seeing a vid on it. That would be cool for the tourist AND us as well.

Also, I stayed at Doral this week. On one of the resorts TV channels, Jim Mclean has a 24/7 advertisement going. As you know he has a school there. All he did was run about 20 drills by different instructors over and over with some fill in about what he does for students at the school.

Some of the drills were:
2 on how to cure over the top (why it happens and the proper move down - one was VERY similar to you Coke machine drill...except he used a big white plane board).
1 on greenside bunker play - (how Seve learned and executed)
1 on fairway bunker play
1 on driver vs. iron
1 on hitting long iron better
1 on grip
1 on set up
etc....

there were all little 30sec to a minute clips and most were by his instructors.

Hope there is some ideas in that for you.

Tips don't really improve golfers, you can't build an effective golf swing on tips, you need to be taught the feel of the correct mechanics and then repeat them a few thousand times in order for them to become ingrained.
If you were for instance learning to play a musical instrument you couldnt learn it by reading or hearing tips.
Golf magazines sell millions of copies based on the premise that tips arent really effective, for if they were effective then people would probably not keep buying them every month.
Athough i think your short videos are good they havent improved me, i improve when i get a lesson off a good pro and then practice the new swing mechanics i have learnt several thousands of times.
What i think would be good was if you were too discuss course management and strategy.

....

Tips don't really improve golfers,

Don't agree with you there Aaron..

A golf swing could actually be defined as a collection of tips......:)
Someone once told me that you should only change one thing at a time, otherwise you have no criteria for establishing absolute proof of the effect of that change...

For example, one "tip" I was given, was to make sure the right upper arm never gets in front of the right hip before impact (that is the feeling anyway..)........stopped me slicing instantly.
So in this instance, this single tip improved my game...

Puttmad- did this tip have a lasting effect on your game? as i have tried tips and they give me an instant improvement but nothing that lasted longer than 1 round or one day.
i notice a lot of golfers do this, they read a magazine or learn a new tip, it gives them an improvement for a few holes or a round but the next time they play they play badly and the tip no longer works, so they read another magazine or try a new tip, this kind of process can go on for years and they never really get any better.
Instead they should try to learn proper mechanics, do drills and practice the correct movements thousands of times over.

1) Manzella Matrix... each segment describe a different block...
2) A typical Manzella day in instruction... what a lesson should do for the instructee...
3) Laws of ball flight... it isn't what you've always been told

Hmmm...

These tips are for the masses. So I would personally avoid any mentioning of accumulators, detailed explanations of ball flight laws, etc. I would also avoid talking about one particular aspect of the swing (e.g. flat left wrist, axis tilt) per se.

A better approach probably is to use these concepts in a particular situation. For example, you can do a clip on hitting off bare lies/divots. And during your clip, you can talk about how essential it is to hit down on the ball with forward lean of clubshaft, etc. This provides a good backdrop to use these TGM or other Manzella concepts.

The same information can be presented in many different ways. It's a matter of finding the most appealing presentation. Do you want to do a clip teaching golfers how to stop slicing? Or do you want to teach them how to draw the ball? Or do you want to talk about hitting the inside aft quadrant?

Bigwill mentioned distance tips. I think that's a great idea too because it allows you to present so many ideas in a way that appeals to your target audience.
