I would take John Senden over Louis any day.John has been playing the PGA tour for about 10 years now and every year but one he has been top 3 or 4 in the ballstriking stat. That year he was 14th so it wasn't exactly a bad year either. That is just unbelievable consistency over a decade.

Rich, I agree with Boo (my absolute favorite swing of all time), Heath, Warren and whoever else you mentioned. Those are also some of my favorite swings. The OP asked a question and as with most questions about current players, according to the internet, they don't cut the mustard with the venerable Snead & Hogan. It just gets old, is all I was saying.
Who's your favorite actor? William Shatner, Chuck Norris?

It seems like the guys with the "Great Swings " label ( Purtzer, Couples, Els, Elk, Geiberger, Waite ) were all 5'11" or taller and above average looking guys, from a physical standpoint. They had smooth swings and seemingly effortless power. They were never judged on their actual ball striking. And no short guys or guys with big bellies were allowed in the club. We had much less sequence photography back then, so it was difficult to see what positions they were in during the swing. Lindsey, I would like to hear more about Purtzer. Also what did you guys think of Gil Morgan. I always liked his swing.

I agree. When I have looked at Purtzer and his swing, I just never like how the clubface looks in the through swing in slow mo. Obviously it's just a matter of preference. I remember watching him hit balls next to Nick Price (mid 90's) and there was no comparison. Price's ball flight was much more desirable to me, but Purtzer was said to have the "best swing on tour". Purtzer's golf swing is top notch no doubt, but overrated compared to others IMOP.

Exactly my thoughts. I remember watching it on the V1 archives a while back and thinking the same thing. But, he allegedly hit it very straight, and almost never curved a shot intentionally - I can like that.
