Hit these today..... very nice. Anyone here play them? A good middle ground between a 'true' blade feel (MP 33/37's etc) and more forgiving designs. The 1025C's are quite nice too for mid to high hdcps, very similar feel to the MP 23 and 30. Not enough feedback for my tastes, but if Mac were to price them better, they would sell more IMO. I'd consider a set of the 1025 MB's though. Soft, solid and just enough feedback and workability.

Last July I played three wonderful rounds with the 1025MB, well two rounds, and one round with the mixed set. No real difference. The MB's were with X300s and the mixed set with rifle 6.0s. I loved the soft feel at impact. My ball flight was sweet and loved everything about the clubs. I think the price was around 600 bucks, more then I had at the time. Would I buy them, yes, but the shop discontinued selling Macs and someone else buy the two sets as used when I was out of town.
Made some Wishons in the fall. Love them too.

I've heard good things about the Wishons, but haven't hit them. What would you compare them to?

I haven't hit many different clubs, the Wishon 550c head is slightly larger but hits close to, I feel, Titleists 690 CBs. I have always liked a thin top line at address and never liked the fat look of say a Callaway, although Cleveland irons hit well. The 550C is very soft nice feedback. Get the right shaft and the head (quality head) is secondary. Wishon has many fine products.

Just bought some (got a real good deal on them, Macgregor discontinuing them I think) . Nice clubs, maybe a tad offset and too shallow faced, but that's nitpicking. Quite upright specs, had 'em flattened.
Personally, still prefer the Mizuno MP 37's .. just.

Last Christmas, a couple of e-bay shops were clearing them out. They were going for $230 - $290 a set. Unforunately, you cannot find them on e-bay any more. I got a set and have been playing them since. Now I am thinking of putting my Titleist 704s on e-bay....I am a high handicapper, but prefers 1025MB to 704s. They are beautiful to look at and fun to hit. Sweet sound....
