To whom it may concern...

Brian you got me there.. So they were hitting the same type shot right? Ive seen Snead with a 3 wood way under the shoulder plane. and yeah Sam's camera angle is too low to see shoulder lines for this topic..

I am a VERY open minded guy.

I very much disagree with your analysis of these pics and the excuses you use to justify your position.

It's always the camera angle...

In my opinion, you could take these pics of Mac and ANY pics of Sam Snead to ANY 5th grade in America, and the NON-GOLFERS would agree with ME.

I am sure you disagree.

But, this is the "Brian Manzella Golf Forum."

This stuff—very bent over, steep shoulder turn and relatively flat backswing—that you and Mac are saying is the greatest thing ever, may be just that. But so far, there are no great players in the top 10 ever who look like Mac or Grant in the video.

This "pattern," along with Jim Hardy's similar "product" and the Kool-Aid version with a flatter shoulder turn, may take over golf one day, but, I have tried 'em all on myself and 100's of students, and for my money and career, my stuff is better.

I am not the only one teaching WHAT I teach, but I am the only one teaching it HOW I teach. Of course Mike and Tom and Chris and Jim and Ryan and Damon are VERY similar.;)

If you don't believe it, come see me with your WORST student, and I'll show you.

Thanks for all your support ;),

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN?

I posted the pics so people can look at some great golf swings.(excuses you use to justify your position.) What ever bro, no idea what you mean by that.
So far you have only seen one pic and you hate it because its Mac.

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN?

Give me a break.

We had Mac O'Grady tapes before 99% who have seen him or his stuff now. Mike Finney played at LSU with Jodie Mudd's little brother Tommie in the mid-80's.

We tried it all Dana. We tested it all.

Then when we we moved to Louisville, a MORAD hotbed, we tried it, argued for and against it, and basicically I BURIED DEAD becuase the ex-MORAD-ers played better MANZELLA-ized.

But, you say "the fear of the unknown."

I think you are right, but the unknown isn't MAC.

AND BTW, I think Mac is a very good researcher and teacher and would pay to see his seminar.

But....would he pay to see mine?

Butch and Leadbetter have tapes. It still does not mean they know whats going on.
But hey it does not matter.

Like I said, I'd fix 'em both in 10 minutes.

If they really tried and didn't tank the lesson (like some pros do:rolleyes: ), they would hit it further and higher.

But, you know what?

Maybe that super bent over, super steep shoulder turn, flat arm swing will take over golf.

Meanwhile, I'll fix 'em when I see 'em.

And like I said, would Mac show up for MY seminar?

Anyway thanks for the post Brian. I think we have our wires crossed on this one. The swing he is doing here is a med fade, not a high shot.
That swing is the most on plane (simple terms) to the ball line.
Sure his CF swing would be a mabey more powerful shot for most people, that being for me it is.
Anyway thanks for the post.
Its your site and your forum and thanks for the info...

Do you need a completely different swing to adjust trajectory tho?

I bet any tour player could hit a medium trajectory fade just by altering setup.

The very fact that people come on MY SITE to talk about how great another teacher is, is beyond me.

Having said that, the arrogance of the people who think that someone can "out teach" me just becuase they are famous, or have some great reputaion is just being ignorant.

I have said this before: I am the best all-around golf teacher I have ever seen, and whoever might be better is probably more unknown than me.

I least I am smart enough not to think they aren't several great unknown teachers out there.

For instance, Don Viallavaso, our 75-year old great pal and sage, at $35 an hour, could out teach 90% of the teachers who have given live lessons at PGA Summits.

Why don't all the Mac lovers and all the Austin lovers go start their own forums and they can self-congratulate each other like the Kool-Aiders do.

I operate this site for three reasons only:

Promote my business

Have a place to speak my mind

Help golfers with their game

Thanks,

BriManz:)

Your Forum

Of the three reasons you mention for your website, you are doing an excellent job on point #3 - "Helping peple be better golfers." I'm far from good - 62 years old with an 11 handicap. BUT I AM IMPROVING THANKS TO YOU. Hopefully I'll continue to get better at a faster rate than I get older. Thanks again!

Kudos to Brian for believing and not being afraid to state that he is the best.

You dont' see the DL's or BH's jumping up to say that they are the best - they just try to make you think they they are the best by the $$ they charge.

Thanks Brian for all the 'gratis' info you provide. I don't see the DL's or BH's doing the same.

Happy Holidays to All.

What's in a number?

It may have been the third thing I listed, but trust me, helping people play better golf IS THE #1 reason for this web site.

As far as being the best, here is a little story from my whirlwind week in Florida:

Nobody CARES who can teach the best. The business is NOT ABOUT WHO HAS THE ANSWERS, or who can stand on the tee and fix'em.

Just for the record, I care.

Im not taking your stage from you Brian. I am just saying I don't agree with what you said needed to be fixed.
However like I did say its your forum, say what you want I have no problem with that. I just wanted to post some cool stuff.
Still don't know what a kool- aider is? I think everyone is one of some sort..

Taking the stage from me?

What?

The pictures/positions/alignments do not match Snead.

I have NEVER seen one that does.

Tell Mac not to bend over so much and post THAT video.

Disagree all you want, just don't tell me the pictures look the same.

Thanks,

The Itallian Stallion

Kool-Aid-er

Someone who thinks that JUST becuase they get into a particular position or alignment, or make a particular pattern (or two) that the kingdom of golf is theirs.
