I am not aware of who or what is the inner circle, when it is applied to Mac.
A while ago, a relative asked me who I thought was the best golf instructor. They wanted to see Leadbetter, but he was too far away. I suggested Mac, although they he had heard that name before. Now, one of his kids takes lessons regularly from him.
