Good Lord!

The explanation of the right arm pickup was priceless.

Written explanations of TGM principles cannot compare to visual demonstrations of TGM principles such as the one you just posted.

When you will be heading back to Kentucky?

A question on RFP vs Twist Away.

My understanding is that you teach the twist away move to help chronic slicers--it's the basis of your "Never Slice Again" material. But the movement of the forearm in the RFP move taught by Lynn is 180º opposite of the one in Twist Away. So is there a point where someone like me who does fight a "high and right" shot transitions to the fanning motion? Also, I feel like I'm more of a swinger than a hitter--isn't Twist Away more compatible with a hitting stroke?

Thanks!

P.S. Two and a half months since a good roast beef poboy--can you fedex me one??

About the head movement. I notice if you put a box around Ernie's head down the line, it stays within it for the whole swing. Face on you see it move back and then return to the same spot (with a five iron) or a couple of inches behind (with driver) at impact. You see no significant up or down or forward/back (away from/closer to the ball) movement, from startup to follow through. So stationary head in 2 dimensions, rather than 3 ?

In other words, your head can move away from the target (because your whole upper body is moving to the left), then towards the target, but it shouldn't move up/down or forward/back (changing spine tilt, knee bend, or weight on heels or toes could all cause these kinds of movements).

Great video-- especially the types of swivel action. Have been working on this myself. Still want to hold on sometimes- shot not nearly as good as with the full Manzella/Doyle swivel! Thanks again!

You lost me on the bent left wrist at impact fix. I grip the left hand with the left wrist flat and matching the clubface. Acording to this clip, it should be bent?

This gave me the cue to revisit RFP this weekend, combined it with the fiddle drill and I have never hit the ball better. Made 4 birdies on Sunday on one very cold and very windy day, could have probably made more but I kept going through the back of greens due to how solid I was hitting it:) Thanks Brian you are a star !

Just watched it again...the thing that stood out this time is when you said "what would you do if you were going to throw the club as far as you could?"

It's true, I absolutely wouldn't take it back with my turn- I would use my arms.

I've never been completely comvinced with hands-controlled pivot before...time to experiment again.
