Looks like the worst is going on right now. 50 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 70 mph. Not too much rain. Worst part of the storm is on the west side of the storm. Some power outages. But, otherwise not too bad. I'm sure the national news will blow it out of proportion though.

Update

We are in Praireville, LA, just outside of Baton Rouge.

The winds have been fairly strong, and we have been without power for a couple of hours.

We are waiting for the eye which should pass close to us.

Again, so far—so good.
 
Here in Australia we have been getting up to the hour reports on Gustav,
I have been unable to log on till now but my prayers Go out to you Brian and all members and non members that are in or near the area.
Lets hope that the worst has pasted.
