Here it is folks.

The Manzella Golf Forum.

THE place where THE ITALLIAN STALLION gives away the BEST information on how to hit the ball better.

Why don't they all come study me?

Because:

1. There can not be TWO kings.
2. In the blind man's world the one eyed man is KING.
3. Because of EGO.

Trust me, if everyone would just listen to me, this golf world would be a better place.

I get the best results.

You think THAT would count for something huh?

Anyway, I digress....

I ran into a fellow teacher the other day, who was SO HAPPY that Tiger was "more over the ball" on the backswing.

Why?

Because he is a "fan" of "pivot Swing Center Tripod."

This is the one with the head precisely between the feet and the pivot center through the head.

Only one problem,

TIGER DOESN'T DO IT!

What does he do?

The SAME DAMN THING I HAVE BEEN PREACHING FOR YEARS.

He uses the Manzella base of the neck swing center.

Read 'em and weep.

one thing's for sure...you can't say that brian moved the tripod on this one...

How to view

Open Brian's download. Copy the address to clipboard. Open another quicktime window go to open UHL paste Brian's address in it. Enjoy.

We're here to learn about the game of golf-NOT to watch you paste lines on a studio golf swing we've already concluded isn't a competition swing.

You're preaching to the converted!

I gotta be me.

In some people's opinion, I don't stick ENOUGH needles in the rest of the golf world.

Look, this swing is at least LIKE Tiger's current swing, and I have the Open Championship on TiVo and it is similar as hell.

People don't do this TRIPOD crap the way it is being taught by some, and go out and win the Majors.

So, every now and then, I have to rant.

Please forgive me.

Brian Manzella's day:

Got up at 7:30 and RUSHED to an 8am 4-hour lesson in the 90+ degree heat.

It went very well, thank you.

Went to lunch with that student—a forum member from NY—and went to my apartment to edit video.

Left to teach in the 100+ degree heat at 3pm, taught til 6:30 and went to Outback.

Got home, answered posts, phone calls and edit video, and set-up my SoCal school, THEN answered this post at 12:22am.

I'll post whatever the heck I please thank you.

Especially when it is to CORRECTLY give myself credit for ARGUING a point about the golfswing CORRECTLY with the competition!

YIKES!

You'd think you'd like the work I did on the vid.

Great question, Leo!

I am not sure.

Tiger, in my humble opinion, SHOULD USE a Double Shift.

He IS using one here.

But he traced a better line in 2000-2001.

So, I think he should jsut swing as left as his MODEL, Ben Hogan, and still double shift.

Butchie had him swing left by going down the Turned Shoulder Plane.

Thanks Brian for the visuals over Tiger's driver swing...it really is a thing of beauty...hard to believe people can find mechanical flaws in this swing! But maybe there are?

Brian- would you suggest any changes?

It worked today!?!

Okay the 'coveted Tripod', on another site, I questioned this concept. I have read version 7 and still have the same questions.

Again IMO this is one phrase that Homer has included in the book which seems to lack enough of an explanation that can be understood for what was really meant. I still 2-H concepts rule and it doesn't require or make mandatory a 'centered head'.

I do subscribe that the head doesn't move, at least on its own, if there is movement because of the pivot that seems to be a reasonable action. That I would think would still meet the criteria of a 'Stationary Head' one of the three essentials. In otherwords head movement independent of the pivot motion seems to be just wrong IMO.

Tripod, I use it with my camera...:)
