method teachers or system teachers?

My question is this: Are all the golf machine instructors method teachers?

That is, do they try to get everyone to look the same as far as mechanics?

I know what the book says...THAT IT IS A SYSTEM, NOT A METHOD...but I was wondering about what happens when you take an actual lesson?

Will I be pushed toward a certain method that may not fit me?

Will these methods be different when i go to different golf machine instructors??

...sorry for the long winded question...just trying to figure out my next move

loaded loaded question......but if you find the right person, he will fit you into a pattern that will best suit your makeup.....trillions of stroke patterns to choose from....but some instructors are better than others at finding the one that will give you the best results....brian's pretty good at it

Some have a very precise idea of what they want you to do, and will try to get you to do it. Others will be more flexible in their approach.

Some do. But in my opinion, this is a recipe for disaster.

Depends on the AI. Some AI's will try to make sure you know excatly what they are trying to teach you, sorta like a min-lecture. Others will free-wheel more

Will I be pushed toward a certain method that may not fit me?
Maybe, depends on the AI. No teacher is perfect, but I try many before I settle on one—if need be.

Will these methods be different when I go to different golf machine instructors??
Yup. Unless they are part of a 'faction' of TGM that feels certain things should be done certain ways.

Hi Abby,
Just to add a bit to Brian's reply if I could. All AI's will help you get to correct impact alignments i.e flat left wrist, clubhead lag and an on plane delivery. This is not a method, this is a fact. These alignments are evident in all good G.O.L.F strokes. How a player get's there does not really matter as long as it is effective. And this is something that you and your coach must work on together. Brian's audio and video explanations are a great place to start.

Mine experience with the Golfing Machine instructor is

Pivot
Plane
Flat left wrist
Aiming your hand
Inside AFT and where you are looking at
The magic one inch setup and the design of the club
Understanding the force/pressure rather then position

Understanding the mechanic of a
Chip
Pitch
Punch

Understanding the rythum of the wrist motion on follow through

Practising in the sand trap

Brain, I think you know who I am addressing.... Hee hee...

People will be amaze on how the system could help us on achieving a better impact

I know that some AI's will REFUSE to allow someone to make a shoulder turn takeaway, EVEN if they hit it better that way.

Not me.

If one is going to use the shoulder turn takeaway Brian do you have a couple of really key pointers you look for to ensure better success?

Try to create force going back, just don't take the club back, move it away with some force.

You are trying to create "throwout action," just like on the downswing (swingers).
