Most comfortable Golf Shoes. What are they?

I have tried a ridiculous number of lighter weight golf shoes. I never ride in a cart and also hit a lot of balls and don't care that much about how the shoes look (within reason).

The Ecco shoes I tried were uncomfortable and were more a fashion shoe.

If you are talking about a shoe that works well for lots of walking, still has enough lateral support to help you when you swing for the fences, and you aren't worried about being as fashionable as possible, I would go with Adidas Powerband Sport for summer (they have a mesh top with decent plastic side support) or Adidas AdiComfort for winter.

Nike also had a couple of older Airmax versions that were a little skimpy on side support that I also liked that have been discontinued. Very much like running shoes. Not good for wet conditions. Might not have enough lateral support for some golfers.

Of course, fit is everything. You have to try it on to see if it fits your foot shape.

Niblick hit the nail on the head. The different lasts that different companies use will fit you differently.

I couldn't make Ecco's work for me or Nike. The Adidas last fits me well and so does FJ.

I'm currently wearing the FJ Reelfits. The ones without laces. Most comfortable shoes I own. I'm not sure, but I think FJ is discontinuing them.

You just need to try a bunch and see which ones feel the best.

if your club doesn't mind, you should wear some vibrum five finger shoes. . best shoe i ever bought.

The old Adidas Tour 360's fit my feet better than any shoe I've ever tried. The new Tour 360 Ltd. are pretty good. Having said that, most of my shoes have been Dryjoy's, and they're OK, but I always get slipping in the heel.

I have FootJoy Contours which I find super comfortable but my feet sweat like crazy in them. I have not tried many shoes. Thx for all the suggestions.

However, the above presumes your size is Medium to Wide. We narrow foot guys don't have much choice. Ask me 20 years ago and I could tell you the name of the Foot Joy last that best fit my size 13B foot.

Now Foot Joy has changed to one last ( a last is what they build the shoe around ) per style, closed their US plant and moved production to ? You guessed it, China.

I have tried the Gel-Fusion model. Comfortable, good support, but now discontinued. Had a pair of Reel Fits. Hated these simply because of my skinny feet. I couldn't tighten them to my liking.

Now I have a couple of pairs of Dry Fits. I like them and they are reasonably priced.

My final comment is simply directed at cost versus design. Remember, skinny feet. In an obvious attempt to save a penny in material cost, they have shortened the tongue on latest models, including the high end Icon.
Digs into my ankle.

The Footjoy Greenjoys are the only shoes that feel comfortable for me. Can usually get them for under $50 late in the season.

That is very interesting...I received a pair of Contours I bought online yesterday and they were 8.5 (like my old pair). I couldn't squeeze the damn things on my feet. Waaaay too narrow. I also noticed the "made in China" tag right away.

Asics Entry

I'm very interested in the Asics model that is being released in the US this season. They make great running shoes for wider feet and I hope the golf shoe meets the high standards set by their other products.

If I saw someone wearing these, I would have an uncontrollable urge to step on their feet. I don't know why.
