Comfort vs. Performance
I am a shoe guy.
Really.
I am still shedding tears over a pair of lightweight Nikes that I didn't buy on me and Lisa's last little vacation a couple months ago.
After we lost basically everything in Katrina, I eventually got over it--sort of.
I miss the ireplaceable pictures, and, well, the shoes.
Of course I am kidding...but not completely kidding.
So folks, as far as golf shoes go, I have tried 'em all. More or less.
The Addidas shoes are mostly good, but are nowhere near as comfortable as their orignal ones from years ago (according to Tom Bartlett) and nowhere near as comfortable as Foot-Joy's Contour line.
But the Contours are basically uselss as a real tournament golf shoe, they are terrible on sidehill lies.
Ecco makes some of the best shoes ever, and I have never worn the $450 top-o-da-line Tour Model, but the four different models I have tried are all better for preformance than Contours, but not as bedroom slipper comfortable.
The FJ Icons are nice looking, but have a heel, and I hate hitting balls standing on an incline. They will never be called super comfortable.
I think I might try a pair of Pumas.
Maybe Merrell will start making Golf Shoes...
