It is not the matter of loft. In case of irons, it happens because the height of the iron head is not constant - it's the largest near the toe and the smallest near the hosel. This difference is simply more visible when the loft is bigger.
Putterheads have constant height from toe to heel, thus, no matter what the loft is the leading edge will be pointing exactly where the top edge is pointing.
