It has been one year exactly since I first met Brian and saw him in Louisville. I came in as an accomplished player who battled certain ball flight issues, namely underplane sort of things (hooks, block fades, poor pitching, etc.)

My "blow up the pattern" lesson included alot of NHA material.
1. Bump to the right
2. Steeper shoulder turn
3. A better "fall"
4. Turning sweetspot feel with right palm away

This all but eliminated my old tendencies.
However, if you go on the premise that the central pattern is the Holy Grail (neutral face, straight plane line, no leakage), you might realize the NHA pattern has it's limitations just as the NSA does.

The reason I am posting this is that I just spent 2 days in Lousville getting moved toward the central pattern. I won't go into detail (mainly cuz it cost me money for the info:) )

In short, if you truly want fixed, ID your issues and buy some of his DVDs or take a lesson from him to get AS FAR AWAY FROM YOUR CURRENT PATTERN as you can. It will make moving toward the center sooo much easier. It has only taken a year and I can't be happier.

Ya I hit balls for the 1st time since November yesterday...........

Everything was going pretty well (and particularly the short clubs) except the driver. Dunno what's wrong but all this swinging left seems to be getting in the way of my tilt. I feel "binched up" anyway. (to use a term of Brian's)

I'm unsure. More adjusting today.

...

Kevin...............you played some pro golf right? Plans to try er again?

Kevin, glad to hear all is well and that you're pretty happy with the state of your game (all things considered). Thanks for being an active participant on the Forum. I appreciate the feedback you've given me on a couple of occassions as I work toward breaking 80 on a consistent basis. JRJ

This helped me at the range today Kevin. Thank you.....very much.

Move away..........adjust back to center.

It's really starting to hit me how your body/swing adapts and how easy it is do overdo things.

BTW.....what I did........was I went more towards NSA today.........

Started hitting more of a draw.........and hit it higher..........and hit my driver better. (who woulda thunk it)

All I really did was flatten my shoulder turn and let my arms go inside more.

I'm starting to think again that I may have a use for 2 swings BTW.....steeper/flatter shoulder turn.
