I believe the left leg straightening is more of a reaction to a proper weight shift than should be an intention to CREATE proper weight shift. When you walk, your rear leg straightens... but by no means is it your intention to straighten it. So clearly the emphasis should be on movement as a whole rather than one individual part.. but I'm getting ahead of myself.. sorry.
