My days with Brian and trackman....whoa! (now with ultra-high speed video!)

Isn't there enough opposing views so you don't have to make a statement you don't believe in?

Do you do this in "real life" as well, outside of internet forums?

Kevin,
Go ahead and pick up one of those machines and I'll meet you on the range at Hickory Heights. Even if you don't get one I'll still meet you on the range! Your swing looks wonderful--heck, I'll pay just to watch you hit a bucket of balls.

Plane Line

Gents,

How does Trackman measure the plane line? When is it measured?

Would still love to see Brian's video answer to some of Savy's related questions.

Thanks.

CRAZY last two days.

I will tell you folks about that next week.

But I will try to shoot the video today if I can.

Fixing club faces in almost world class moves

What would this class act (really) gain from having the face a bit less open?

Found it.

Has anyone used the camera in 1000fps mode and reviewed a swing? Curious how it looks. The specs say "reduced resolution" at 1000fps.

I have a Casio EX-FH20 and 1000 fps second is useless for recording a swing due to the low resolution. That being said, 210 fps is outstanding for golf swings as long as you have enough light.

I also just recently purchased the EX-FH20, but the weather has been so bad have not had a chance to use it yet outdoors.

BW - what shutter speed do you use with the 210 fps?

Thanks - Bruce

Can you connect any of these cameras with your laptop via firewire (or maybe you dont need firewire) and use a swing software like c-swing? Also is the camera that Brian used on Kevin a Casio or something altogether different. (like a lot more expensive etc)

Thanks

Bolt,

You don't need firewire buddy...if you have a computer with a USB port, access to the internet (youtube) and the windows(assuming you don't have a mac) installation software...you're good to go. Yeah..I do think the camera Brian is using is the ex-fh20. Hope this helps. If you have any questions about the camera...the owners manual will help. Go here to get it.http://exilim.casio.com/current_owners/manuals

Thanks bw, Bruce, Bolt and VJ

Sounds inviting. Sorry to hear the resolution is so poor at 1000fps. If so poor, what can it be used for?

Can someone then post their swing (or someone elses) using the camera at 210fps?

Thanks MB

The video looks great on Utube. Who by the way is Sam I Am? He's got a nice swing. I did see the club head get ahead of his hands just at impact. "flipping?"

Outdoors, 1/2000 and higher works well. The club is clear and you can see the face angle throughout the swing.

Indoors, I don't have enough light for the higher shutter speeds (anything over 1/1000).
