I have new respect for Mclean. I read a lot of people do not like him as a person. But inviting Manzella to teach shows an admirable commitment to learn and openness to new ideas.
Does anyone else suspect that Manzella has reached a tipping point?

Once I started thinking "come in over it" things became a lot simpler. I love the feeling of letting the body weight fall on the ball. I may be wrong but this seems to produce the "hitting left" move.
Hitting left with elbow plane plus muscling with the forearm is just too hard to time and too hard on a 64 year old arms and wrists.

Being a former member of his staff, I will tell you that it is far and away the best thing I have ever done for my career, getting trained by him and his system. The culture at JMGS is about challenging the status quo, constantly training to be the best, and doing "Whatever It Takes" to make your student better.
I see a lot of similarities between Jim and Brian.
Also, Jim is influenced greatly by Carl Welty (i'm sure a lot of you know that). Carl has been teaching "new ball flight information" since before I was there (2002). And I was always confused after being told by so many about the "old ball flight laws".
I'm so happy for Brian and the folks at JMGS Doral to have that session together!!

Only a matter of time, and always has been. Lots of good news lately for sure Drew. McLean is a pretty well-known dude.
