mb...

when Mikestloc was 15 years old, he was 5'2" 105lbs. and could hit it 275 all day!

With a standard length, persimmon, steel shafted, heavy driver!!

Brian,

When my 9 year old freak of a student uses the club that fits him he not only hits it better, but has tremendous balance.

This encourages him and he wants to hit more balls.

When he uses his slightly too heavy driver, he hits it poorly, loses his balance and gets very frustrated.

Each player is different, what works for Mike may not work for everyone else.

I think the important thing is that what you are saying is ....is...
that the club 'FITS'...

...most of the time when a young student of mine has been fitted at the local golf store...the clubs are too short and too light.

Most places probably don't have enough variety of junior demos to give juniors a good chance of getting FIT, with what is ideal for them.

Because of the great variation of size and strength in juniors one would need many kinds of demos. The SHORT, LIGHT, FLEXIBLE type clubs. The SLIGHTLY HEAVY, SLIGHTLY LONG type clubs. And... probably various types in between light and heavy.
