New 3 wood??

This is a clean topic, please keep your sand off the floor. :p

OK. I'll give someone who roots for Kentucky a wee bit of latitude on this as I'm only 5'4" and it went straight over my head... Just what the heck are you talking about?

Or, should I even ask? Or, want to know?

...and I have been playing my Wishon 525GRT #3 for ages and it is still in the bag (of course on steel). When I have more time I'll revert to newer clubs that Tom designed after and surely will try them. 929 is on my list as well.

Cheers

Still looking to buy some extra yards, D? :p

Someone above mentioned a speed slot. I have a Hogan original speed slot that you could have for, well, less than a Wishon. Buyer collects.

sand + bag = Sometimes when I hit 3W off the ground I'd be happy with one that WENT 17 yards!:)

Obviously, you've never seen me play. I've been known to 'lay up' with the 3W :) On consecutive 3W shots:mad:

But... that's only a few holes a round... the remainder I'll gladly take my strokes. Just bring cash, because I don't take American Express. That said, my HI is legit :(... it's the noggin contents that are lost... 3-4 holes a round = train wreck; remainder, par and/or bogey... from someone who can't hit out of his own shadow.. straight, but waaaayyy short.

Seriously, most difficult club in the bag to hit (Ping G-10). I may take a good hard look at TM even though I'm 100% Ping except for putter (Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1.5). I'm somewhat leery of the hype, though, with the new TM fairway woods and hybrids.

I took out a demo RBZ for a spin today and I must say I was less then impressed. It was a 4w but my old r5 Ti 3W was about 20 yards longer the the 4 wood. So not too impressed. It looked nice and small though.

When I brought it back I learned that it was actually a 4 hybrid. I guess 20 yards less the my 3wood isn't that bad after all!

I still haven't made up my mind, I want to replace my 3w, 5w and maybe get a hybrid this year. At the moment r11 Ti woods are fairly cheep, but if the RBZ is really that much if a game changer ...

How would you actually do a custom fitting with the RBZ? The normal one only comes in regular and stiff, no more options. So if you want it custom fit you will need the TP version I guess?

Still ??? When did I want to buy extra yards ??? Do not spread bullshit around, please.
All what I have done so far with my equipment is to enhance accuracy at the expense of distance. If I want distance I wouldn't use steel shafts and heavy clubs. Luckily, my distance is quite OK for my age. I play golf, not long drive contests.

I do not collect Wishons. I said it is a good idea to test some newer designs of Tom since I haven't change anything in my bag (except putters) for 4 years already. I like Wishons and I am proof against these miserable Titleist or Taylor Made "revelations" ROFL.

Cheers

OK, now I see. You're actually looking to buy yourself some forgiveness. Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part.

Well done for having 4 year old clubs. The game's heritage is in good hands.

Not quite so. I am not actually looking, I rather looked once 4 years ago when I changed to heavy clubs and steel shafts if any. Perhaps I will start to play with 50-years old clubs this season. Bought beauty McGregors for Xmas.

Cheers

Dariusz, I think irony and sarcasm is something you might look into. I think some of these guys were just joking around. The US is a sarcastic society, especially it's golfers and giving each other grief is simply standard. Thin skins tend to receive more than their share

Just trying to help you out ;)

Thanks for your help, Jared, but I can handle moronic comments myself. I usually beat them with truth. There is no better weapon especially in the internet society of anonymous cowardish jerk-offs. It is a general remark, not exactly directed now to Birly.

Cheers
