At adress, there is slack between my right hand/arm and my left hip joint.Right arm/shoulder do a slow drag back, loading the left arm across chest, totally removing slack that existed at adress between left hip and right hand.. Have the feeling of the right arm keeping the left arm pulled tight across the chest. Sit down. Wham....

Extensor Action. Got to love it- it both directions.

Explain. Thanks.

So sorry.

Extensor Action, 6-B-1-D, is the pulling on the left arm by the right hand. A tug. The right hand pulls the left arm/hand on the take-away to the top. It continues to pull the left arm straight on the Down Stroke. But it doesn’t MOVE the left arm- it just keeps it taunt. Brian and Ben Doyle likens it to the feeling of tugging on a sweater out of a long sleeve jacket.

The right arm bends as it tugs the left arm up on the TA and the right arm ‘tries’ to straighten on the DS. The left arm is the Master Accumulator- acc#4; Extensor Action is the force upon it that keeps it working. The #4 acc is the rhythm and pivot action of the swing.

Some can call Extensor Action ‘the secret’. To me it is valid to a great stroke. All my bad shots can be traced back to poor Extensor Action.

Glad you found it.

excellent report. I always pay close attention to your posts.

Thanks Diggerd it really means a lot. I'm glad I can be of some help.

Palm- correct ! But it took a while to really know it. When Yoda showed how to apply it it both directions, my swing had a new dynamic element to it. And I don't think there is anything like Extensor Action taught in any other system.
