It can.

But in this case, POP-OUT is part of the pattern.

That's why Baby Fade was invented.

Thanks, Brian. I recently started working with the NHA pattern to correct a below-plane swing. I think that I overdid the pop-out though. I started picking up the club too much, raising up to much when I reach for the sky on the backswing.
