NHA Questions

1. According to what I have read here, to get maximum power you have to apply "Force Against the Shaft" (FATS) beginning at the point where the shaft is last perpendicular to the ground preceding impact (it may be at the last point the shaft is parallel to the ground). In the NHA pattern, you are supposed to drop the club on the ball by "shaking the sugar." If you want maximum power, how can you combine "shaking the sugar" with FATS? Does FATS not require more active swinging of the club that simply dropping the shaft on the ball?

2. When I practice the "Carry," or the transition move, I feel that my head is moving forward. Is that okay? I have always understood that you are supposed to keep your head back through impact, which is what gives you axis tilt, but I find when I try that I end up swinging left too quickly with a closed clubface so that I get "fore left!"
