"...a reversed kinematic sequence .." .... ????!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Where? How? Describe it in words ... NOT pictures and asking the viewer to agree with you ...!!!!!

IOW ... PROVE IT ... after all, this is now becoming a 'scientific' golf forum .... PROVE IT OR LOSE IT ...!!!!!

Steve T, you haven't heard of this before, i'm surprised....lol. It must mean from the top down as opposed to from the bottom up , you know the reversed kinematic sequence, geez, where have you been? studying science ...lol.:)

I liked the article and what they had to say about setup. Sounds alot like Brian's mini twistaway for pitch/chip shots. Clubface rotation is very important, they just need to add on the swing plane part to be swinging more left.

Some other comments that stood from the Crane, Sieckmann, Rose show:
-Narrow stance, left knee and foot turned out (for right-handed players), a real soft left arm, left wrist stays in extension and the right arm externally rotates in the backswing.
-Swing plane is the most critical factor in the short game and the clubface rotates more in the short game than the full swing.
-To hit high, lower the handle
-Sieckmann talked about fitting wedges differently than the full swign. He said, “My irons are one degree upright, but my sand wedge and lob wedge are one degree flat.” Take that Mr. lie board.

Steve Elling on Tiger's short game tweaks, which he says are designed to provide hi the same release point with chips and putts as his full swing:

"I changed my entire release and how I did it with Hank," Woods said. "You want to have the same type of swing with the putter all the way up to the driver. It's the same motion just smaller, and the pitch shot is the same."

Of course, the degree to whcih the short game should be affected by an overall swing change is debatable and will surely fuel a few fires in the Internet chat-o-sphere.

"If I use one swing, if I hit thousands of chip shots and only hit a few hundred balls, well if I'm doing the same release that I used to, that's totally contrary to what I'm doing with the swing," he said.

Elling checked with both Hank Haney and Butch Harmon to see if similar through-the-bag tweaks were made under their watch.

Harmon, working this week as an analyst for Sky Sports in Europe, heard about Woods' comprehensive short-game revamp from a reporter. In their years together, Harmon said they often worked on the short game, but not as an extension of the full swing.

"Did he really say that?" Harmon said. "I am surprised to hear that."

I have to change everything. It's the whole release pattern. That's one of the things I've described to you guys before is I've seen changed my putting stroke. It's a release, how I release the putter, how I release the short game, how I release irons, drivers, they are all related. You just can't have one swing and not have another; they are all interrelated. It's just something I've had to change, and you know, it takes time.
