Open Stance, helping with reducing tug and keeping the slack

ok, I'll admit it, I'm a habitial handle dragger, who can hit a lob wedge less than 10 feet off the ground all day. I have way forward hands and my playing partners marvel at how far I hit my wedges.

Anyway, I've been really working at decreasing my tug/pull/ handle dragging and release the club at least a little bit. Couldn't find a way to get this done until yesterday when I really opened my hips (Aka Trevino, Couples), but kept my shoulders square. The open stance really seemed to significantly reduce my pull, I'm guessing because my hips were already cleared and I didn't feel I had to start my swing with my hips.

Has anyone else tried this approach with any luck?

I played some of my best golf with an open stance. I would hit those burning wedges in there all day long.

Then I started hitting blocks and push slices.

Hope this doesn't happen to you because it will demoralize you.
