I met a bloke on our course a while back who made a good pass at the ball with a left hand low grip - fugly, but a damn good result.
I asked him how it all came about.
"I'm 63',he said 'and play off 9". "Used to be a bit lower when I was younger." "But back then the game was too easy, so I switched to this grip."
In reality he had always swung with his left hand low and never considered it to be in any way unusual.
Obviously, he takes no notice whatsoever of the way everyone else swings it.
