Basketball sucked for a long time after Jordan/Brid/Name a hall of famer left basketball in the 90's and first decade-ish of the 00's. However, right now...you are missing out if you aren't watching.
If the Finals ends up being Heat vs. Thunder (which it should) and you watch and don't think you are seeing a bunch of special athletic freaks doing amazing freaks, you get 1 free lesson from me.

Do I have to like the style of basketball too? Or get a free lesson? The way I see it you owe me a free lesson anyway, the last time I was in Chicago I tried to look you up to get a lesson and you were off trying to play competive amature golf or something.

Ha, ironic. Style of basketball? You aren't one of those people who love college basketball are you? If so, no, my offer is rescinded because i don't want to argue with crazy people (those who think NCAA is better than NBA

Yes Jim I do prefer Ncaa basketball but that is hard to watch too. I have a hard time watching when the officaiting is poor, unlike any other sport the refs can change the whole complex of the game with a couple of bad calls and a star player can be sitting the bench in no time. I don't believe they do it on purpose, it's just that it is so fast paced it is the hardest sport to officiate......Thanks for the PM I will take you up on the offer if I ever get back to Chicago, thanks, Matt.

I agree i like the theory of the above but the problem with Hockey is that it is too random. Too many bounces/tips/etc can win/lose games regardless of talent which is why the odds of winning the cup for anyone who gets into the playoffs is very possible.
I think NHL should go to 4-4, scoring would go up, talent would be showcased better and i think ratings would increase.
