Is there such a thing? Or is it merely pivoting incorrectly? Playing yesterday, I was swinging too far right and felt very blocked through the ball. Tried to swing the club more vertically, on the turning shoulder plane with an early hinge of the wrists and no conscious pivot. Contact was much better. Is this a path issue, or is the pivot moving the club under plane? I feel if I were able to swing on the turning shoulder plane with a perfect pivot ala Brian's article, I would have much more power. However when I think pivot, I go way under-plane and swing really inside out. Thin hits, pushes or duck hooks result. What do I work on first, proper pivot, or proper arm swing?
