No agenda, lia. I've been studying the Austin swing for the past three years when I saw a thread in the FGI forum. As I said before, I don't care if you are TGM, CIA or IRS, I'm willing to listen to anyone who knows more than me, so I can learn. That's what I'm here for.

I came here after reading Brian's excellent articles on the Perfect Pivot, thinking that his description of his preferred pivot described the Austin pivot to a T. Even wrote a long post in the MA forum claiming that Manzella's pivot was exactly what Austin taught. But I've since realized that the two pivots are similar but quite different. Sorry to barge in spewing Austin talk about Stewart's swing. Guess I'm just obsessed about the Austin swing! So yes, i do have an agenda- to learn the true Austin swing before I'm too old to play!

Stewart's clubface looks open to the target line, but closed to the swing arc before impact...Afterwards, who knows?...:)
