"Also, this article is Shoulder Turn Takeaway, not right forearm pickup"
I did a quick search on that phrase and did not learn much so I wondered how it fit in.
A little back ground on me:
I had a TGM based lesson recently which touched on the flying wedges, the right forearm pickup, tracing the plane back to the ball with PP#3, swinging down out and through. Since I have been home I have not been able to play golf or hit balls due to the snow. So I am limited to practicing set up in the living room and taking some air swings in the small bare patch near the back door.
Up till now my practice swings seemed hit and miss. I am using a back swing where I focus more on turning my right palm a little up while using it to stretching my left arm. Then on the foreward swing I turn the back of my left toward the ball while keeping it taut.
( I might add this is what it feels like I am doing )
When I do this and use the thought of turning my right hip behind me while maintaining the same right leg angle from your article, I feel I can come at the imaginary ball on what feels like the correct path, from the inside. It also feels like I am getting more turn and coil.
I think my hips were too rigid and locked and caused me to come across too much and other problems.
Sorry about the long rambling post.
I guess my point is I am not sure what you meant by the shoulder turn takeaway??? By my description is that what I am doing?
