Peter Croker???

Gentlemen,
Lurker turned poster here (actually I normally just steal as much free info from Brian as possible:) ).

I know this is the BM site but on the 'Austin' thread Peter Croker was mentioned, can anyone give me the lowdown on his system and how it stacks up against what we know actually works?

He has his own site but his answers to posts tend to be 'just buy my stuff and all will be revealed' and one of his instructors 'Golfone' seems to be confused (to say the least...)

Is it sound?

Great!
I've always been a thrower, just never knew how to make the most of it. Thanks Mate! Fair dinkum, you're a real sport.

Is there any golf instructor I haven't investigated?

I spent a couple of days with Peter Croker in the mid 90s when I was teaching 24/7 on Long Island. We allowed him to host one of his teacher schools on our range, and I of course attended and took notes and film. I found his system and books very well done. His little chip shots remind me of Ben Doyle's teaching of the chip, pitch and punch. Not much talk of lag, or compression though obviously he knew his stuff. He was selling a system.
More preaching than teaching. I enjoyed my time with Peter and found him open, and bright. He doesn't make my top ten though.

Funny Brian, our shop girl did a pretty good Croker impression, "puuuushhhh, Aye to Bye".

Never did see Mike Austin though spoke to him quite a bit, I really do like the Flammer. I've seen it help a lot of people.

Dear Jpeck,

Firstly, Golfone is not a Croker Golf System Instructor or ever attended a CGS

School to my knowledge. He is self confessed expert who has done his own

research and we have little to no history on his abilities to either play the

game or teach it.

Secondly as you will discover, the CGS works. It defines an "Orthodox and

Powerful Golf Swing" in thorough detail. It is a total package of aligned

swing components that deliver an "on plane" swinging motion while sustaining

the "LAG" Also there is minimal stress on the body!

As far as delivering exchange in abundane, my website provides many "Free

Video Downloads" and a "Free 45 minute Instructional DVD"

For those wanting to step on "The Path" and become a serious student, then

we do charge for the next levels of information. After all we are Professional

Golf Instructors with much to offer and with money back guarantees for

those who honestly cannot make improvement.

Usually those who pay are open to receive the message in great clarity than

those who do not.

As a special bonus to all please download this "Free Analysis of the Croker Golf System preferred swing components as assessed by Paul Hart (GSED)

http://www.crokergolfsystem.com/TGMDownloads/TGM_CROKER_SWING_ANALYSIS.htm

Kind regards,
Peter

PS: I would highly recommend that you invest in Brian's videos. He certainly has much to offer the serious student of TGM and golf in general.
PPS: I look forward to meeting up with Brian on or around July 2nd in Louisville

Dear Scandres,

Thanks for the kind words.

I cannot remember doing a School at a Driving Range. I remember Piping Rock
Golf Club with Ian Mossman and one other with Howard Wyckoff, plus
Westchester C.C. with John Kennedy and others off the Island.

Please let me know where you were and I can promise you, I have added more to CGS since the mid 90's. It will be worth revisiting in present time.

Kind regards,
Peter

Peter-

I taught full time at Piping Rock in the 90s.
It's always fun for me to spend time with someone with as much interest in the swing and teaching as you have.
I hope I can come down and see you when you visit Manzella, I'm interested in what you've added.
I've got some footage of you hitting a long driver, excellent positions!

Aye to Bye

(That's a to b).

I hope July 2nd can work for you, Brian?

My schedule is tight and this date would be ideal for me to visit with you for

as long as you can stand an Aussie in "Bluegrass Country"

I fly to NY on the 3rd at 4.25pm.

Please advise if this date fits.

Kind Regards,
Peter

Peter,
My apologies for thinking golfone was one of your instructors, he does have a very large number of posts on your site, and he does 'teach' (if you can call it that) but - my mistake, sorry.

As far as your system goes, I've always thought there was big gap in golf instruction, with most people just teaching the full swing and the golfer has had to find the rest by himself. A system would appear to a great way to start out in golf.

You certainly are very well endorsed, good luck with it.
