Phil needs to fly Brian in this time

Then he needs to fly someone in to tell him how to dress and what size shirts to buy.

Really, the guy looks ridiculous. You can't wear Anthony Kim's clothes if you have Phil's body.

Phil looks about half there mentally to me. Things must not be too good with Amy or his Mom. I would love to see him with Brian. How cool would that be?

You know you've made it when you can take the second best player in the world, make him no better if not worse and noone says anything about it.

Just saw Phil hit himself with his own ball trying a right handed shot out of the hazard.
You have to love Phil!

i think we've heard what brian may do with tiger or some others, but what would he do with phil? (maybe he's already said, but i havent' read it).

Phil needs a caddie that will tell him when he's about to do something stupid. And Phil needs to listen to him. Any volunteers?

Don't intend to be rude, but really? Are we supposed to think that Phil's problem is his swing? Give me strength. Brian is a great teacher, but I bet if you ask Brian himself, he would agree that Phil's issues are not swing related. The guy has won more events than any active player on the tour outside of Tiger. Are we crazy critiquing his swing?

I fix him.

I have my whole plan of attack ready.

I don't think so at all. His ballstriking is inconsistent and his driving accuracy is pitiful. He gets into jail probably as much or more than any golfer on the PGA Tour.

Looking at his swing it's pretty easy to see why.

To me, Phil's game is very long, but inaccurate off the tee. He should be a better driver of the ball than he is. He's a better iron player than somebody with his type of swing usually is and he's a phenomenal chipper/pitcher/sand player and his putting is pretty poor (but when he's on, he's really really good).

So he basically tries to turn par-72's into par-68's, but when he can't find the fairway he negates his own distance off the tee. And he has a problem with the 2-way misses, something that pretty much any PGA Tour player with any type of success tries to avoid with the plague.

The #'s don't lie for Phil. Current PGA Tour ranks:

stat/#/rank

Driving Accuracy - 48.66%, 185th
Driving Distance - 298.3, 3rd
Total Driving - 90th
GIR - 65.05%, 124th
Scrambling - 62.91%, 46th
Putts per Round - 28.58, 28th
Putts per GIR - 1.762, 55th
Putts per GIR Birdie converstion % - 35%, 5th

Dear Phil:
1) Keep it in play
2) Putt the lights out like we know you can/will
3) Profit

I can't believe no one is not talking about the obvious...this is a beaten down man and it has nothing to do with golf, flying in the night before the event, eyes always red like he has not slept in days....then not playing your best has to be very hard.

But I am sure its a swing problem for a guy who has won 37 times (if anything its a putting problem).

The stats dont lie. fairways hit and GIRs are way down. Im not raggin on him but maybe he would have more wins and more majors if not for persistent swing issues. Just a thought.
