Watching a segment on short game pitching between Furyk and Funk.
There are two distinct ways these guys approach the pitch.
Funk has a book of his yardage of wedge distance and takes the wedge back to 9 oclock ,10 oclock etc. depending on the yardage needed.

Furyk does pitching by feel. Know his full 100% wedge distance does X yards... then gets his distance by swinging 60%, 70% etc. of that without using the clock image.

These two have two totally different swings.... I thinking that a straight back straight through swinger without much plane shift should use Funk's method.
While a player with a loop in their swing should use Furyk's method for pitching.
