Hola everyone!

At last week's league outing, the fairways were rather firm. I simply couldn't hit a stock pitch shot (more of a sweepy or "Tour" pitch if you will). But if the ground is hard, do you need to "go down" after it and perhaps employ a leading edge divot?

Hey Erik,

Is it dry in Maryland this early in the year? 'headed north soon..

If it's hardpan you better be hitting a texas cut with a little dash of Seve thrown in.

Weight left the whole show.

Stance open.

Move away with wrist cock up the wall.

and take it all left.

It's definitely pretty dry. The Baltimore area is even worse then around Washington. I think it's been somewhere around 40% less rain then normal. I think alot of the country is experiencing drought right now as well.

You need a wedge with less bounce to play the same shot off harder turf generally; too much bounce and you can't slide it under.
