I played the other day with a friend of mine who has competed at the highest levels of amteur golf and took some video.
What do you guys think?

My guess is he hits it laser-straight, but not tremendously far. Little draw. Fights a snapper from time to time.

Am I close?

not even remotely,
he hits lasers but more like a ballistic missile. He is very long and hit's mostly a fade but can move it to the right if he needs to. the iron was a 3 iron at Eagle trace's 15th par 5 about 245 and he hit the green.
He introduced me to TGM about 7 years ago and opened by telling me to ignore the hitter stuff. He is self taught and controls his swing with his lat's. Or at least that is what he feels.
I always like playing with him because he has such an interesting perspective on how to play because he has researched and really come to it on his own at a level that I just am in awe of.
I have caddied for him in an Open Qualifier (missed the playoff by 1 shot)after he took off from golf for 2 years to go kite surfing.
fun stuff

What a rarity, somebody who figures out for himself the way to play golf.

Off topic, but what camera did you use to film these swings? Thanks.

The Camera is a casio FC100, I have the new FH 25 but the FC100 fits in the pocket of my golf bag so I use it more often.
The Guys name is Frank Babusik. He took off 6 years for kite surfing not 2
also he is self taught, but is very well read on the game and swing. All the books like the Physics of golf TGM and the search for the perfect swing were introduced to me by him and he had highlighted the area's in TGM with different colors so i could better understand it.

Nice save with the 3 iron. Watch his left foot into the transition. Could be a Pujols' stride. Nice move.

Good catch!
It was a side hill lie so it may have been a balance/footing thing but I will look at more video to see if it happens often.
